Geist Top Coat is a clear coat designed to protect the color layer on leather or vinyl by preventing water, dirt, and general damage from friction and abrasion. Top coats also play a key role in providing the appropriate level of shine to the surface. Geist Top Coat is available in either matte or gloss versions, and the two can be mixed in specific ratios to achieve the desired shine level. Mix the matte and gloss top coats in equal parts to achieve a satin finish. As standard for most modern car interiors, we recommend mixing a 70 % matte top coat and a 30 % gloss top coat. This ratio can be further adjusted as needed by adding one of the two top coats to achieve the desired finish.

For excellent overall protection and durability of the repaired surface, Geist Crosslinker will need to be added to the Top Coat mixture prior to application.
